What The Field collects, and what it does not.

Visiting this site

We run no ads, no advertising trackers and no social media tracking pixels. We do not set cookies. The site's fonts are hosted by us, so your browser does not contact Google when you read The Field. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs and may count visits in aggregate.

Sending us a pitch or a tip

When you email [email protected], we receive your email address and what you write. Your pitch is read by The Field's editor and our AI editing assistant. We do not share it with anyone else without your agreement. If we decline a pitch and you ask us to delete it, we will.

Ordinary email is not a secure channel. If your story involves sources at risk, say so in your first email without detail, and we will agree a safer way to continue before you send anything sensitive.
